Alpacas and Llamas to knit and felt in worsted or bulky weight.

Size: Yarn choice and the amount of felting will determine finished size which makes each little critter an individual!

Yarn Requirements: Any weight of yarn may be used, or use 2 or 3 strands together for larger animals. Using multiple strands in different shads can give your animal a more natural looking coat. Choose a yarn that will felt easily and firmly. Always test felt a sample to be sure.

Yardage: Worsted: 165 Main Color and 15 yards Black. Bulky: 185 yards main color and 20 yards black. Note: If using multiple strands you will need this yardage for each strand used.

Straight needlesin your size for your yarn. Worsted: Size 10 (6mm) or 10-1/2(6.5mm); Bulky: Size 11 (8mm).

Gauge: It is not necessary to get an exact gauge, but knitting must be loose to felt properly.
